This is the genuine replacement H13 HEPA filter for Meaco's Arete One and Arete Two 20L and 25L dehumidifier and air purifier units. It is sold as a pack of three, so you can keep a spare on hand rather than waiting on a delivery once the fitted filter greys out.

It is not compatible with the smaller Arete One 10L/12L models or the 20L Low Energy dehumidifier, which use a different filter size.

Why bother with a HEPA filter

The H13 grade traps 99.75% of airborne particles down to 0.3 microns, which covers most household dust, pollen and pet dander. Since the Arete units double as air purifiers as well as dehumidifiers, the filter is doing double duty: it keeps the dehumidifying air path clean and pulls particulates out of the room air passing through the purifier side.

When to change it

Meaco's own guidance is to change the filter once it turns visibly grey, which most owners find happens after two to three months of continuous use depending on how dusty the room is. The filter can be vacuumed gently between changes to extend its life, but it will not restore full airflow once it has properly greyed out.
