    I will be honest and say I loved the movie when I saw it at the cinema. I didn't think it was as good as the trailers suggested, but it was still great.
    The extended version is even better. All I would say to anyone is to watch it and judge yourself, don't listen to anyone regardless of what side of the fence they stand.

    Like BvS, I bought both the limited editions to get both the statues.
    I don't think these statues are made by the same people as their is no manufacturer stamp on the bottom like the BvS ones.
    These are bigger figures (although not as tall as the Superman one due to him being in a flying pose), but lack the detailed bases of the BvS ones.
    Both are nice and heavyweight like their predecessors, and are nicely posed.
    The level of detail is fantastic, with the fishnets on Harley being actual fishnets, not painted on.

    Sadly the Harley one sold out straight away, so if you can get one for a decent price, good luck.

    Als Filmfan, der zeitbedingt selbst noch kaum ins Kino kommt, aber das Glück hat, ein Heimkino sein Eigen zu nennen, bin ich bei Rezensionen zu Filmen weniger an der Geschichte bzw. dem Inhalt interessiert, den finde ich auf anderen Plattformen im Netz gut rezensiert bzw. kritisch gewürdigt, sondern eher an der technischen Umsetzung des Films, insbesondere was Bild und Ton angeht. Daher gehen meine kurzen Rezensionen nicht bzw. nur sehr selten auf den Inhalt ein, sondern geben kurz und knapp meine Wahrnehmung der Bild- und Tonqualität wieder; hier und da mit Blick auf Szenen oder Filmteile, die besonders imposant umgesetzt sind - hier bietet sich dann z.B. ein Vorführen des Heimkinos bzw. das Austesten von Lautsprecher oder Beamer an. Von daher sind meine Rezensionen alles andere als vollständig, geben dem ein oder anderen aber vielleicht genau den Tip, den sie oder er gerade sucht.

    Bildqualität:
    Suicide Squads (ich beziehe mich auf die Fassung im Extended Cut) bietet insgesamt eine technisch sehr hochwertige Umsetzung auf Blu-Ray für den Konsumenten. Der Film, der inweiten Teilen eher düster (Nachts, Abends, dunkle Innenaufnahmen) und sehr verregnet daherkommt, bietet hier ein eher farbreduziertes, aber sehr gut kontrastiertes und ordentilch durchschattiertes Bild in denen Farbabstufungen gerade in dunkleren Tönen sehr gut umgesetzt sind. Trotz der - filminhaltilch bedingten - Farbarmut, präsentiert sich das Bild klar und prägnant.
    Im Gegensatz dazu stehen jene Szenen, zum Teil deutlich actionlastiger Natur, in denen der Joker oder Harley Quinn auftauchen, die mit starken Farbkontrasten, großer Farbbrillianz sowie "kreischenden", "aggressiven" Farben arbeiten und so ein farbenprächtiges, aber nicht zu stark überzeichnetes Bild abliefern. Dies gilt auch für die Actionszenen im Film, die ebenfalls einen breiten Farbraum abdecken.
    Insgesamt bietet sich dem Betrachter ein Bild mit tollen Farbkontrasten und ordentlichem visuellem Punch. Die Farbgebung ist, wie erwähnt, teilweise etwas überzeichnet (kreischende Farben), ohne jedoch zu starke Filter oder übertriebene Veränderungen (gemessen am sonstigen Niveau dieses Filmgenres) aufzuweisen. Der Film arbeitet mit einer angenehmen, gefälligen Brillianz und Leuchtkraft.
    Der Film bietet fast durchgängig eine spektakuläre Bildschärfe, die auch bei dunklen Szenen und Kontrasten durchgehalten wird; Artefakte, Bildrauschen oder "Griseln" konnte ich beim Betrachten auf Leinwandgröße kaum ausmachen. Die Tiefenschärfe sowie Nahaufnahmen gelingen fast ausnahmslos sehr ordentlich.
    Das Gesamtbild ist sehr gefällig, das Hinschauen macht Spaß und überfordert den Sehgenuß nicht.

    Tonqualität: Ein Blick auf den DOLBY ATMOS Sound
    Soundtechnisch kann der Film - ich beziehe mich auf die englische Fassung in Dolby Atmos - absolut begeistern. Gestet in einem akkustisch optimierten Heimkino mit Atmos System - ich verwende Einbaulautsprecher in der Decke direkt über den beiden primären HotSpots -, hat mich der Film akkustisch unglaublich fasziniert. Ich habe einige weitere Film mit Atmos Mix zum Vergleich sowie auch eine Dolby Atmos Referenz Blu-Ray. Das gesamte Sytem ist ordentlich eingepegelt.
    War ich zunächst bei den Eröffnungsszenen, in denen die Protagonisten mit eigenem Musicscore vorgestellt werden etwas irritiert, weil die Rockklänge sehr frontlastig daherkommen, hat mich nach den ersten Filmminuten das Gesamtklangbild aber absolut abgeholt. Der übrige Musicscore ist sehr gut abgemischt und in die sonstige Klang- und Effektkulisse sauber integriert. Die Stimmwiedergabe ist ausgezeichnet eingepegelt über den Center; die Dialoge setzen sich von der Gesamtsoundkulisse ab, und gehen auch in effektlastigen Szenen, und davon gibt es einige, nicht unter. Hier wurde sauber und ordentlich gearbeitet.
    Die Atmos-Codierung liefert einen sehr solide und sorgfältig abgemischten Ton. Insgesamt wird ein sehr breiter, angenehm von den Boxen abgelöster Klang erreicht; keine LS wirken aufdringlich oder in bestimmten Teilen des Films überbeansprucht. Dies gilt auch dann, wenn man den Film beispielsweise "nur" in einem 7.1 oder 5.1 System abspielt. Die Surroundspeaker schaffen ein sehr räumliches Klangbild, das in vielen Szenen sinnvoll eingesetzt wird. Gerade in den actionlastigen Szenen wird von hohen bis tiefen Frequenzen jeder Lautsprecher gefordert und zur Leistung ermuntert. Gerade der Subwoofer liefert ordentlich Punch. So macht Heimkino Spaß.

    ATMOS KONKRET: Wirklich faszinierend wird die Klangkulisse aber erst mit dem zusätzlichen Einsatz der Deckenlautsprecher. Gerade in den von Regen dominierten Szenen ergibt sich so ein unglaublich authentisches "Rundumklangbild", dass man als "Zuschauer" den Eindruck gewinnt, man stünde mit den Protagnonisten im Regen. Dieser Effekt wiederholt sich zahlreich während des gesamten Films.
    Akkustisch toll inszeniert sind m.E. gerade auch jene Szenen, ohne zu spoilern, in denen die Darsteller per Helikopter unterwegs sind. Die Rotorblätter klingen so plastisch "von oben", dass es eine Freude ist. Auch die kurze Anfangsszene, in denen die Jets gen Horizont fliegen, ist akkustisch ähnlich beeindruckend umgesetzt.
    Mich persönlich hat der ATMOS Klang absolut überzeugt und hat das Hörerlebnis noch einmal in Sachen "Dramatik" und gefühltem "Dabeisein" verstärkt.

    In der BluRay Fassung liegt eine sehr sorgfältige technische Umsetzung vor, die den Kauf der BluRay m.E. absolut rechtfertigt; hier erhält man einen Film mit hochwertiger technischer Umsetzung, mit dem das Austesten bzw. Vorführen des eigenen Heimkinos sicherlich gelingt.

    Bild- und insbesondere Tontechnisch ist der Film, über den man inhaltlich - wie man an den polarisierenden Rezensionen sieht - diskutieren kann, auf sehr hohem Niveau! Ich komme zu einer absoluten Kaufempfehlung.
