    I bought this coffee, having never heard of this brand before, because it was recommended for my breville coffee machine. I must say I was a bit hesitant because I like a smooth not too strong coffee and this really does fit the bill. I enjoyed it so much I went and bought another 3 boxes (just to make sure I have pleanty before the prices go up again in UK).
    Now I find they do this coffee in tins, something else for me to buy, although there's plenty of bad reviews about no lids, people (I assume youngsters(because they lack what we mature people call..Imagination)) haven't thought about plastic lids for tins here on Amazon, I have quite a few for all sized tins, so keeping it fresh shouldn't be a problem. HEY! kids, forget Google, try using your imagination, look for sealable tin lids here on Amazon, they're quite cheap and work very effectivley.

    Come tanti di noi, ne ho provate una bolgia, in particolare gli infiniti gusti di Lavazza, che alla fine mi sembrano tutti uguali a dispetto della diversa denominazione, ma soprattutto non all'altezza del nome: lasciano tutte un retrogusto acidulo-gommoso-tostato bruciato inspiegabile per la qualità presunta (l'unico che si salva è il Passionale, e la qualità oro caffè d'altura, ma tra un ordine e l'altro si notano differenze di gusti). Ma ora che ho provato Illy Intenso (il gusto Classico per me è un pò leggero e c'è bisogno di una buona macchina per farne risaltare il gusto), finalmente ho trovato un caffé serio. Lascia un retrogusto che ti fa percepire il vero caffé, aldilà degli infiniti aromi vaneggianti promessi dagli altri marchi. Il caffé è caffé!. Non può essere prodotto per soddisfare il gusto individuale. Si disilludano tutti quelli ingenui che credono di ottenere un caffè a misura per il loro palato: il retrogusto dolce, e quant’altro, viene ottenuto con additivi. Mettetevelo in testa una volta per tutte. Un venditore della mia zona, mi ha confessato che il tanto conclamato Borbone, nonché la Nespresso, usano additivi per ottenere quel retrogusto che “piace tanto”. Leggetevi l’articolo di Andrea Ciccarelli, su Areacaffèshop, sarete illuminati sulla vera qualità del caffè. L’unica vera differenza che può esistere è la diversa proporzione di arabica e robusta, ma, soprattutto, la loro provenienza e la qualità. Il caffè non è cioccolato, non è caramello, non è tutta quella miriade di gusti personali che ci si aspetterebbe, come se prendessimo una bevanda ad hoc. La sensazione di “carica onesta” c’è l’ho con le Illy Intenso. Le Nespresso, a fronte della loro alta intensità, mi procurano una irritazione-tensione che perdura per ore, altro che carica. Le varianti Kazar e Napoletano del Nespresso classico, perlomeno erano accettabili, ma le Vertuo sono un aborto: tutta schiuma e niente sostanza. Sono solo trovate propagandistiche per cercare di mantenere la propria fetta di mercato o di aumentarla. E i polli ci cascano, perché non tengono conto dell’effetto placebo. Al riguardo, mi fanno ridere le recensioni di Altroconsumo effettuate semplicemente mediante il gusto di esperti e volontari: alla faccia delle sperimentazioni scientifiche che valutano la qualità dell'arabica e della robusta.
